Training Course on Autism Treatment
From October 27 to April 28, 2015 the Foundation hosted a course entitled “The Treatment of Disorders related to the Autism Spectrum based on Evidence, I.S.S. Guidelines and Intervention Models”.
The course provides continuing professional development for those who work with people on the autism spectrum, providing theoretical and practical training on rehabilitation, education, and assistance methods which are scientifically recognized as being valid and effective.
Doctors, psychologists, educational psychologists, speech therapists, neuro and psychomotor educational therapists for children in the developmental stage, occupational and physical therapists, participated in an initiative aimed at training professional who are able to implement therapies in various aspects of life, adapting their approaches and methodologies to the characteristics of each specific context.
The training course was promoted by the Foundation along with the Associazione Autism AID Onlus (Autism AID Non-profit Association), the Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria Federico II (University of Naples, Federico II Hospital and the Dipartimento di Scienze Mediche Traslazionali dell’Università Degli Studi di Napoli Federico II (Department of Translational Medical Science at the University of Naples, Federico II), the Fondazione Istituto Antoniano (Antoniano Institute Foundation, and SINPIA – Società Italiana di Neuropsichiatria dell’Infanzia e dell’Adolescenza (Italian Association of Infant and Adolescent Neuropsychiatry).
